Bangladesh finished seventh in the 8th Asia Cup hockey tournament after a 11-1 defeat against India in the classification match at Wisma Belia Stadium of Kuantan, Malaysia on Thursday.

ROME: Ferrari on Tuesday threatened to pull out of next season’s Formula One championship unless the International Automobile Federation (FIA) backs down on proposals for controversial rules changes.
Following a meeting of Ferrari’s Board of Directors, organised by president Luca di Montezemolo at the team’s base in Maranello, the team said it would not continue in F1 unless the FIA reverses a decision to set a budget cap of 40 million pounds (44.8 million euros) on teams’ spending next season. BKSP’s Mezbah Ahmed and Shirin Akhter hogged the spotlights in the Dhaka Bank 25th National Junior Athletics competition which ended at the Bangabandhu National Stadium yesterday.
Mezbah clinched the 100m sprint title, the main attraction on the final day of the two-day meet, with a timing of 11.40sec in the boy’s event while Shirin secured the 100m girl’s sprint event by clocking 13.10sec to finish with double delight as both also won the 200m sprints on the opening day.

Bangladesh slumped to a 0-5 defeat against Japan in its first match of the 8th Asia Cup hockey at Kuantan Stadium, Malaysia on Saturday.
